Jessie A.Fisk, 88, of Waterbury Center, passed away at her home on August 2, 2026. Born on May 15, 1938, in Landaff, New Hampshire, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Myrtle (McGuire) Keough and the middle child of 13 siblings.
Jessie married Phillip Fisk in 1957, and together they raised four children and created countless cherished memories. Life was not always easy while raising four kids, but Jessie and Phil worked tirelessly to ensure their children had everything they needed.
Jessie devoted many years to working at the Vermont State Hospital and spent a short time with Washington County Mental Health. She later became the owner and operator of Fisk Boarding Home in Colbyville, Vermont. Dedicated to caring for others, Jessie also earned her associate's degree in nursing.
A talented craftswoman, Jessie created a treasure trove of beautiful crocheted items. She enjoyed attending farmers markets and other events where she proudly displayed and sold her handiwork. She loved country music and treasured the adventures she shared with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Jessie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Phillip Fisk, who remained faithfully by her side until the very end; her four children, Cheryl Edwards, Shane Fisk and his wife Cathy, Randy Fisk and his wife Lori, and Machelle Cook and her husband Roy; her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In accordance with Jessie’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Her family will gather at a later date to place her in her final resting place.
For those who wish, memorial contributions in Jessie's memory may be made to Central Vermont Home Health & Hospice.
