Crews will reopen the roadway following paving activities tomorrow. VTrans is also working with the school district to make temporary accommodations for bus stops on both sides of the project site, according to the project update.
Once the bridge and Lincoln Street are open, motorists can expect alternating one-way traffic on both Stowe Street and Lincoln Street, with flaggers assisting, officials said.
Until the bridge and street are open, motorists are still to use the detours along Vermont Route 100 to get to downtown Waterbury, and up Perry Hill to Kneeland Flats and Guptil Roads to exit Lincoln Street. Pedestrians and cyclists still may access Lincoln Street while it is closed.
Today’s update also reminds the public that the schedule is subject to change. Any updates will be posted here.

Duxbury officials announced the start of a project today, Tuesday, Aug. 26, to repair the intersection of Crossett Hill Road with Vermont Route 100. This work is expected to take until next Wednesday, Sept. 3, with a break for the Labor Day holiday weekend, they said.
The project will focus on the southbound side of the Y-shaped intersection. It will involve grinding up and removing the old pavement, hammering ledge in the existing ditch, and repaving the roadway.
Traffic will still have access to the intersection, but motorists are asked to slow down when entering the work area. The work is being done by S.T. Paving.
