Local crews will be working on two culvert replacement projects on Perry Hill this week with road closures on Tuesday and Thursday. Warren has a road closure for bank stabilization work. State resurfacing projects continue on Interstate 89 between Waterbury and Montpelier.

Local crews will be working in multiple locations around town this week. Southbound I-89 paving projects continue with night work between Waterbury and Montpelier, and slow one-lane travel between Richmond-Waterbury.

Duxbury Road in Bolton has been opened to single-lane traffic between the footbridge and Honey Hollow Road. Some tree cleanup from Wednesday’s storms may still be needed on Monday, but town roads held up well.  Resurfacing continues between Exit 10 in Waterbury and Exit 8 in Montpelier.

Interstate 89 southbound resurfacing projects continue from Richmond to Montpelier. No work on Friday. A section of Duxbury Road in Bolton is closed to through traffic for emergency repairs.

Weather permitting, paving will be done early in the week on Park Row and Rotarian Way in downtown Waterbury and on Barnes Hill Road. On I-89, expect delays in the two stretches where resurfacing projects are in progress from Richmond to Montpelier.

Significant delays are likely on I-89 southbound this week from Richmond to Montpelier due to work on two paving projects. In town, watch for a local paving project on Park Row, mowing, shoulder and ditch work elsewhere.  

In Waterbury, be alert for roadside mowing and ditch/culvert work on Shaw Mansion Rd. On I-89, a new resurfacing project between Richmond and Waterbury southbound begins this week. Work in the stretch from Waterbury to Montpelier continues.

Tree work on Guptil Road on Monday will impact traffic slightly. On Wednesday, an all-day project will install new features around the Waterbury Center Triangle Green park as part of the Better Connections transportation improvements summer demonstration project.

Night ramp closures at Exits 8 and 9 of I-89 in Montpelier and Middlesex are scheduled for paving to be done. Park Row will be closed on Weds., May 20, for surface repairs near the railroad tracks. Fayston bridge projects begin this week.

Work on the Interstate 89 southbound paving project between Waterbury and Montpelier is resuming for the season and is expected to be completed by August, according to the Vermont Agency of Transportation.

Motorists will notice new electronic signboards on Vermont Route 100 near the Interstate 89 on/off ramps. They are alerting drivers to night work scheduled to begin today, April 6.
