Some night work on Rt. 100 near I-89 this week is possible. Duxbury has a brief road closure while a closure in Moretown will mean changes to school bus schedules.

As the Stowe Street bridge project nears completion, the Lincoln Street Park & Ride lot reopens Monday. In Bolton, a project on Duxbury Road will require a closure starting Oct. 20. Drivers should use Rt. 2 for access between Richmond and Waterbury. I-89 resurfacing project is winding down between Waterbury and Montpelier.

ROAD WORK UPDATE: Stowe St. bridge to open Weds.
The opening of the new Stowe Street bridge and Lincoln Street adjacent to the project have been pushed to Wednesday, Aug. 27, after paving is completed. Also, in Duxbury, repairs are underway at the intersection of Vt. Rt. 100 and Crossett Hill Road.

The Lincoln Street opening has been pushed back to the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 26 — the same day officials say the new Stowe Street bridge will be opened. Expect alternating one-way traffic and flaggers and delays on Rt. 100 near the work zone.

Stowe Street bridge work is moving along with Lincoln St. slated to reopen by Friday and the bridge by Aug. 26. No night work this week. Paving continues on I-89 southbound, so expect delays. Several local projects include the Loomis Hill Road bridge and paving along Bidwell Lane downtown.
Stowe Street bridge work kicks into high gear; Lincoln St. closes Monday
Work on building a new bridge over the Thatcher Brook along Vermont Route 100 in Waterbury kicked into high gear this week with a 450-ton-capacity crane at the worksite unloading and putting into place giant precast concrete bridge sections. On Monday, Lincoln St. closes to vehicle traffic until Aug. 22.

The latest phase of the Stowe Street bridge project will involve closing Lincoln Street starting Monday morning, Aug. 11. A detour over Perry Hill, Kneeland Flats and Guptil Roads will be in place until the reopening now scheduled for Aug. 22. Also, expect delays on Rt. 100. Elsewhere, I-89 southbound work continues with milling and paving.
Stowe Street bridge project adds night work, adjusts reopening date
As a giant crane has been added to the Stowe Street bridge reconstruction site in Waterbury, state project officials have announced that delays will push back the bridge opening date to later this month.

Project managers with the Stowe Street bridge replacement project in Waterbury say they plan to close Lincoln Street on Monday, Aug. 11, for what they hope will last just two weeks rather than three.

The Lincoln Street closure for the Stowe Street bridge project is scheduled to begin Aug. 11. Work downtown will mean closing Bidwell Lane at Stowe Street on Monday. I-89 resurfacing work will mean delays southbound between Waterbury and Montpelier.
