There are still several weeks ahead for the I-89 southbound resurfacing projects to be in progress from Richmond to Montpelier. Several local projects are ongoing. Be sure to give crews room to work and slow down in construction zones.

Small projects around Waterbury this week include crews sealing pavement cracks. The partial closure on Duxbury Road in Bolton has been postponed to next week. Southbound I-89 projects continue with paving day and night north of Waterbury. Richmond Exit 11 ramps will have some night closures; additional work near Montpelier Exit 8

On I-89 southbound, daytime and nighttime work continues this week between Richmond and Waterbury. There are some ramp closures for night paving and daytime work along bridges. Final cleanup is wrapping up in the stretch between Exit 10 and Montpelier, Exit 8.

Work on the I-89 southbound resurfacing projects north and south of Exit 10 in Waterbury continues. The stretch to Montpelier is nearly completed. In the stretch from Richmond to Exit 10, much continues including night work and southbound on and off ramp closures planned for Thursday night, Sept. 10, at Exit 10.

Heads up to motorists on I-89 southbound between Richmond and Waterbury for night work this week, including Thursday night southbound ramp closures at Exit 11 in Richmond. Work should wrap up on Duxbury Road in Bolton by Friday. The I-89 project from Waterbury to Montpelier is nearly complete.

A local paving project begins this week on Duxbury Road in Bolton. Resurfacing projects on I-89 southbound between Exits 11 in Richmond and 8 in Montpelier continue with paving north of Waterbury and final tasks south of Exit 10.

The Interstate 89 resurfacing project between Exit 11 in Richmond and Exit 10 will involve southbound RAMP CLOSURES at Exit 10 overnight Sunday-Monday, Aug. 16-17, weather permitting, for milling and paving. Night work will continue with ramps open into the week.

No major local projects on deck for this week ahead. State resurfacing projects continue on I-89 from Richmond to Montpelier. Crews are working on shoulders, U-turn spots; they’re milling, installing guardrails, etc. One-lane work sections will mean slow travel. Slow down near workers; allow extra travel time.

Local crews will be working on two culvert replacement projects on Perry Hill this week with road closures on Tuesday and Thursday. Warren has a road closure for bank stabilization work. State resurfacing projects continue on Interstate 89 between Waterbury and Montpelier.

Duxbury Road in Bolton has been opened to single-lane traffic between the footbridge and Honey Hollow Road. Some tree cleanup from Wednesday’s storms may still be needed on Monday, but town roads held up well.  Resurfacing continues between Exit 10 in Waterbury and Exit 8 in Montpelier.

Interstate 89 southbound resurfacing projects continue from Richmond to Montpelier. No work on Friday. A section of Duxbury Road in Bolton is closed to through traffic for emergency repairs.

Weather permitting, paving will be done early in the week on Park Row and Rotarian Way in downtown Waterbury and on Barnes Hill Road. On I-89, expect delays in the two stretches where resurfacing projects are in progress from Richmond to Montpelier.

In Waterbury, be alert for roadside mowing and ditch/culvert work on Shaw Mansion Rd. On I-89, a new resurfacing project between Richmond and Waterbury southbound begins this week. Work in the stretch from Waterbury to Montpelier continues.
