Scenes from Winterfest 2026

April 19, 2026 | By Waterbury Roundabout

Despite some April snow showers today, winter is mostly in the rear-view mirror for now. Before we turn the page into spring, here are lots of photo highlights from Waterbury Winterfest this year. The five-day schedule during the last week of January packed in plenty of outdoor and indoor winter fun for all ages from skiing and snowshoeing, sledding and snow bocce, to ice skating, wassailing, and indoor games and trivia.

Organizers are already looking ahead to planning the lineup for Winterfest 2027 and their grant applications are open to support local recreational events and projects year-round. Read more about that here.
