Some early July scenes from Roundabout photographer Gordon Miller.
Rain on Warren’s July 4 parade doesn’t dampen the spirit
As the crowd filled Warren’s Main Street for Saturday’s 4th of July parade, the “rain-or-shine” condition became particularly important. A few minutes ahead of the 10 a.m. cannon boom to signal the parade’s start, the first raindrops began to fall.
Spring scenes of local wildlife
With springtime in full swing, creatures of all sizes are up and active.
Scenes from Winterfest 2026
Before we turn the page into spring, here are highlights from Waterbury Winterfest. The five-day event in late January packed in plenty of outdoor and indoor winter fun for all ages from skiing and snowshoeing to ice skating, wassailing, trivia and more. Organizers are already planning for 2027. Check out galleries from Gordon Miller and Roundabout contributors.
Spring tradition: Two Easter Bunnies, 3,500 candy-filled eggs, scores of kids
Bunny ears and colorful baskets, buckets and bags were plentiful at Saturday’s Easter Parade and Egg Hunt sponsored by Waterbury Rotary.
January tradition burns bright
Conditions were pretty close to ideal on Saturday night for the annual Christmas tree bonfire and skating party at Anderson Park.
In the final days of 2021, Jesse McDougall took his snowboard and video camera up to Sugarbush Resort in Warren where he met Waterbury Center's Avery Bard.
