LETTER: Molly Gray understands ‘rural’ is an asset

October 6, 2026

To the Community:

As an attorney, I have practiced law in Vermont for over 40 years.

Human and Constitutional rights have never been more at risk in our communities, particularly our farm communities, than they are today. For that reason, I am voting for Molly Gray for Lieutenant Governor. I know Molly personally, and I believe it is essential to have someone with Molly’s background and commitment to those rights in a leadership position in Montpelier.

Additionally, as an attorney, I have represented numerous small, rural school districts and have seen public policies that do serious damage to rural communities, rural students, and rural families. Molly understands “rural” is an asset, not a liability, and she will be a strong advocate for rural Vermont at a time when that is much needed.

Finally, I have seen the increasing damage the lack of affordable housing is doing to small, rural communities in Vermont. In the Northeast Kingdom, we have an opportunity to grow a new, environmentally friendly agricultural economy, but without more affordable housing that opportunity will die aborning. Molly is committed to tackling that problem, and she has the experience and background it will take to make a positive difference in Vermont.
