Vermont State Police investigated an incident in Waterbury Center on Sunday that involved an untimely death. Police said the incident was not deemed suspicious and it did not involve any criminal activity. No further details were available.

Multiple state troopers on Monday searched Kneeland Flats Trailer Park for a Duxbury man wanted in connection with a first-degree aggravated assault on Dec. 29. The search was unsuccessful, and troopers now ask the public for help locating the man.

In an effort to engage voters before draft annual budget proposals are finalized, leaders in Duxbury, Moretown and Waterbury invite local voters to special upcoming public meetings.

The Waterbury Select Board addressed the resignation of the town clerk and treasurer on Friday, unanimously appointing Assistant Town Clerk Beth Jones as interim clerk and Bill Shepeluk, the former town manager, as interim treasurer.
